Watch on Your TV with the OWNCASTS App

Once this is set up, watching future streams is easy—just open the app and click our live thumbnail. No casting or browser needed!

Apple TV

1. Download OWNCASTS from the Apple TV App Store.

2. Open the app → go to Settings.

3. Select Add Server.

4. Enter: stream.museumofhomevideo.com

5. Click “Saved servers are the first row” option to ON.

6. Return to the home screen; our live stream should appear at the top!

Apple TV Troubleshooting

If the Add Server button doesn't work after entering the address via remote, try using an iPhone to type instead.

• Trigger the switch-up by unlocking the iPhone while you're doing the step above. Your phone will ask, "Hey, wanna type on me instead of the dumb remote?" Do that!

• Press Enter on the iPhone keyboard after entering the address. The "Add Server" button should work now.

Roku

1. Download OWNCASTS from the Roku Channel Store.

2. Open the app and select Add Owncast Live Stream.

3. Enter: https://stream.museumofhomevideo.com

   • IMPORTANT: You must include the https:// part!

4. Return to the home screen; our stream should appear.

iPhone

1. Download the Owncast app from the App Store.

2. Tap the gear icon → Add Server.

3. Enter: stream.museumofhomevideo.com

4. The stream should appear under the Saved tab.

Bonus Features

• The iPhone app supports AirPlay to your TV.

• You can also enable “Get notified when live” inside the app settings. (Let us know if this part actually works for you.)
