MHV #309: THE WILDEST GAME SHOW WE’VE EVER SEEN

Are you ready for the wildest game show we’ve ever aired? WOW, this is one hell of a tape. Nearly unedited by us, we present the infamous 1994 episode of the short-lived British phenom “Don’t Forget Your Toothbrush”…the one with a finale akin to Oprah’s “You get a car, and you get a car, and you get a car...”. “Toothbrush” is an unholy manic hybrid of variety show (Barry White guests for a few songs AND is an erstwhile contestant), sketch comedy (the red-headed host just won’t stop riffing), “Let’s Make A Deal” (audience encouraged to bring enormous paper-machine toothbrushes), “Numberwang” (the fictitious surrealistic UK game show), and shock reality programme (see: finale). You won’t regret this.
