One of the Museum’s greatest loves is unseen footage of 1980s Los Angeles. We recently stumbled across a whole few episodes of the short-lived “Laugh Trax”: a Xerox of a competitor to “Fridays” (itself a janky clone of SNL). This show was filmed on location across the whole of LA. Cameos by Fred Willard and Leslie Nielsen, and a musical shots by General Public. SNL ’80 alumnus Gail Matthius (from the infamous “worst season ever”) acquits herself just fine here as a main cast member. And you’ll get to see the inside of some neon-soaked nightclubs
